Requirements
Please see the requirements below for each of the areas to help us create a great show for all! All aspects of acts, costumes, and art exhibits must be aligned with the school value of Respect, be appropriate for an all-ages audience, and must be free of violent or divisive imagery or messaging. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify inappropriate submissions. Now… let’s create a great show!

Talent Show Performance requirements:

Talent is limited to 2 minutes per performance. Actual allotted performance time may be less than 2 minutes depending on the number of talent show acts. Each student may participate in a maximum of one act, whether that is a solo act or group.

If your act requires music, you must provide an MP3 file of your music. If you are going to sing, your background music must be instrumental only, no lyrics. A keyboard and a sound system will be available.

Performers must be children; no adults please.

Saturday, Ferbruary 4 Online REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Tuesday, February 7, 3:15-5pm MANDATORY Auditions will help organizers create a balanced show; acts will not be cut from the show. Acts DO NOT need to be polished for the auditions!

Audition day details:
-
8:30-9:00 am: Meet Nicole in front of the gym to drop off any props or materials needed for your act. All items must be labeled with the participant’s first and last name.

3:15 pm: Participants will meet at the back door entrance of the gymnasium for check-in.

Thursday, March 9, 3:15-6pm MANDATORY Rehearsal

Friday, March 10 Talent Show Performance

(Time TBD) Daytime school assembly for students

5-7pm Evening performance for families and friends

There is no childcare available, please be with your child at the audition, rehearsal, and evening performance.

Online Permission Slip & Sign Up Form must be submitted by Saturday, February 4.

Please note the end times are estimated and will depend on the number of acts, cooperation of the kids and how many parent volunteers are helping.
Art Exhibit requirements:

Each student may submit up to two pieces of art.

Collaborative works of art by two or more students are welcome.

All art must be original and created by the student(s).

Note the student's name on the back or bottom of each piece. (Taping the printed "Artwork Submission and Permission Form" to the artwork can serve this purpose.) All artwork will be returned after the show.

Art must be turned in to the front office by Monday, March 6 to be displayed in the art show.

A completed paper Artwork Submission and Permission form must be physically submitted with each artwork. (Extra copies will be available in the office.)

Emcee and Tech Team requirements:

5th grade students only.

IMPORTANT DATES: Audition on Tuesday, February 7 at 3:15pm. Emcees: Prepare a joke so we can get to know your personality. MANDATORY rehearsal will take place at 3:15pm on Thursday, March 9.
