The William Brooks PTA is happy to host the annual TALENT & ART SHOW where the Brooks Bears can show off their creativity by performing in the talent show or by displaying their artwork.

Important Dates
PERFORMANCE/ EMCEE/ TECH TEAM REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, January 26th
AUDITIONS: Thursday, February 1st 3:15-5:30 pm
ART SHOW ENTRY and ARTWORK DROPOFF: Monday, March 4th
MANDATORY REHEARSAL: Thursday, March 7th 3:15-6:00 pm

Register to Perform by January 26
Are you ready to take your talent to the stage? Register a solo or group act and share your talent with the Brooks community! The Brooks Bears can't wait to cheer you on! Don't have a polished act yet? Don't worry! Audition with a sample of what you intend to do on the big day. You then have over a month to perfect your act. Need ideas? See the list we've compiled at the bottom of this page. Please review all of the participation details and the fill out the entry form in the Rules and Requirements section below.
Register to Emcee by January 26
5th graders only
Would you like to help host the show? Emcees take the mic in-between acts, entertaining the audience with a few short lines and introducing acts while performers prepare to take the stage. Audition with a joke so the organizers can get to know you. Several emcees will take turns at the mic throughout the talent show. Please review all of the participation details and the fill out the entry form in the Rules and Requirements section below.
Register to be on the Tech Team by January 26
5th graders only
Are you interested in working behind the scenes, helping to make the sound and set changes and performance line-up run smoothly? If so, sign up to be on the Tech Team! Please find detailed information and the registration link in the Rules and Requirements section below.
Enter artwork for the Art Showcase by March 4
Is creating art your talent? Students may register to display artwork at the Talent & Art Show. The deadline to "register" is the same day that pieces are due to be dropped off: Monday, March 4th. Enter the art showcase by printing out the Art Showcase Entry Form (found on the requirements page linked below), completing, and returning the paper slip along with your artwork submission(s) to the front office by Monday, March 4th. Please review the details for entering the art showcase in the Rules and Requirements section below.
Participation Rules and Requirements
Please click on the link to see the full participation requirements for each of the talent areas (performance, art, emcee, and tech) to help us create a great show for all! All aspects of acts, costumes, and art exhibitions must be aligned with the school value of Respect, be appropriate for an all-ages audience, and must be free of violent or divisive imagery or messaging. Once you've reviewed the rules and requirements for your area of participation, follow the instructions for registering to join this year's showcase!
