The William Brooks PTA is happy to host this event where the Brooks Bears can show off their creativity by performing in the talent show or by displaying their artwork. 

 

Our theme this year is ambition and we hope students will share their interpretation of the theme through their talent of choice or through their artwork!!  See below for important dates and details about how students can participate in this wonderful school tradition!

Important Dates​

PERFORMANCE REGISTRATION: Saturday, February 4th

AUDITIONS: Tuesday, February 7th 3:15-5:30 pm

ART SHOW REGISTRATION: Monday, March 6th
MANDATORY REHEARSAL: Thursday, March 9th 3:15-6:00 pm
SHOW TIMES: Friday, March 10th 

  • school assembly time TBA

  • evening performance 5:00-7:00pm

*If your child has a major conflict with any dates, please contact Nicole.

Register to perform by February 4

The deadline for registration to perform in the Talent Show has passed. 

Register to display artwork by March 6

 

The deadline for registration for displaying art at the Talent Show is March 6.  Register by printing out the Submission/Permission slip linked below, and returning the paper slip along with your artwork submission(s) to the front office by Monday, March 6.  

Requirements​

Please click on the link to see the full participation requirements for each of the talent areas (performance, art, and tech) to help us create a great show for all! All aspects of acts, costumes, and art exhibitions must be aligned with the school value of Respect, be appropriate for an all-ages audience, and must be free of violent or divisive imagery or messaging.

We need lots of volunteers to make this event happen! If you’re interested in volunteering in any capacity or making a financial donation to help fund the talent show, please click on the link below!

Need Ideas?

 

For performers in the Talent Show, we welcome “outside the box” performance ideas! You can perform as an individual or in a group. Some examples are: 

  • Skit

  • Comedic set

  • Martial arts 

  • Gymnastics 

  • Play an instrument

  • Monologue

  • Juggling/ball tricks

  • Magic tricks

  • Singing 

  • Dancing

For artists displaying artwork at the Talent Show, feel free to use any type of medium you want! Some examples are: 

  • Paint

  • Crayon

  • Pen 

  • Recycled/upcycled art

  • Woodworking / wood sculpture

  • 3D printed art

  • Photography

  • Masks

  • Fabric and fiber arts

  • Origami
