Welcome Brooks Families!

Welcome to the William Brooks
Elementary PTA Website

Welcome to the William Brooks PTA website! We are excited you decided to visit our website and find out more about the PTA. We have a lot of exciting events happening throughout the year to help support the school and children. If you are interested in joining the PTA, click the button below. You also can connect with us on Facebook or Instagram. We look forward to a wonderful year!

What we Do

The PTA helps make Brooks a better school in two ways:

1.  We raise money by holding fundraisers like the Jog-a-thon, Community Dine-Outs, Give Back Programs, and Gala. Money raised goes toward classroom enrichment, class field trips, assemblies, the Art program, the Garden program, and much more! We work with the Brooks staff to make sure our kids have the resources and materials they need!

2.  We build a community. Ice Cream Social, Harvest Carnival, Family Dance, Doughnuts with Grownups, Staff Appreciation, Holiday Store, and Yearbook- all these amazing events are planned and staffed by PTA volunteers. These community events give our kids a chance to have fun and make some awesome lasting memories!

Recent News

We are so proud that some of our Brooks Bears had the opportunity to share our thriving garden with the local community on Good Day Sacramento!  Watch the full clip HERE. Thank you to Christy Calderon, Shelley Joyer, and all of the Garden parents and students for their hard work in making our Garden of Learning so newsworthy!

The long-awaited shade structure is up!! The PTA raised money for the shade structure several years ago, but we ran into several road blocks in the process of getting the project approvals and installation. We are happy to report that our Brooks Bears will have some shade when they return to school in August of 2023!

Thank you to all who supported the PTA during the 2022-2023 school year! Our main fundraisers, the Jog-a-thon and the Spring Gala, were very successful. Using funds from those events and other sources, we were able to purchase a new marquee for the front of the school. We are happy to have this new addition to campus this year to keep the community informed about what is happening at Brooks!

We are happy to introduce the Brooks Welcome Wagon, and its coordinator, Suzy Watson. The goal of the Welcome Wagon is to help new families transition into our school and community. If you are a new family looking for information or to meet other parents and students, or if you are an existing Brooks familiy that would like to help new families transition into our community, please contact Suzy Watson at Suzywatson247@yahoo.com.
