VOLUNTEER TEAM NEEDED FOR


The Harvest Carnival is one of the Brooks’ Bears most beloved events! It is a fun evening event on campus with carnival games, prizes, food trucks, a costume parade, music, dancing and more!! This is one of Brooks' largest events and it takes a huge team of volunteers to make this event a big success. Since there are so many different aspects of planning this event, you are sure to find the volunteer role that is perfect for you!
When is the Harvest Carnival?

typically on a Friday evening in October at William Brooks Elementary. Our next Harvest Carnival will be on October 20, 2023.
What is needed to make it happen?

Planning for this event needs to start in August, as soon as school starts

Volunteers are needed in these areas:

Chair or Co-chairs
-
schedule and lead meetings
-
bring together all areas of the committee to ensure the smooth running of event

Event Details and Layout, Logistics

Budgeting and Insurance
-
Promotion (flyers, social media, and website)

Food Vendors and Rentals (e.g. food trucks, DJ, tower lights, trash bin)

Decorations

Carnival Games
-
review the PTA-owned carnival games, make repairs as needed

Wristband/ ticket sales

Volunteer recruitment

The PTA will provide guidance for the volunteers of the event as well as notes on prior events.
